On the 15th of June, 2025, Royal English Academy transformed into a hub of humanitarian hope as we hosted Blood Donation Camp 2.0. This wasn't just another school event; it was a critical response to the ongoing needs of cancer patients in our region.
Organized in direct collaboration with the prestigious Cachar Cancer Hospital, Silchar, the camp addressed a vital gap in our healthcare chain. Every drop collected during this drive was earmarked for emergency surgeries and life-sustaining treatments for those battling cancer.
Distinguished Leadership
The program was formally inaugurated by Mr. Ekbal Hussain, Honorable Chairman of the Minority Development Board, Sribhumi. In his opening address, he highlighted the importance of educational institutions leading the way in social responsibility.
We were honored to have the presence and guidance of Mr. Kalyan Chakroborty, a Founder Member of the Cachar Cancer Hospital Society, whose vision has been instrumental in making high-quality cancer care accessible in Silchar.
The Real Impact
"Collectively, our donors contributed over 30 units of blood. In medical terms, this single-day effort has the potential to save or support the lives of up to 90 different patients. This is the power of community coming together."
Expert Medical Oversight
Safety and professionalism were the hallmarks of the camp. Under the expert supervision of Dr. Shobnam Bahar Barbhuiya (In-charge, Blood Bank) and Dr. Dilwar Hussain (Assistant In-charge), the donation floor operated with surgical precision.
The medical technicians from Cachar Cancer Hospital ensured that every donor felt comfortable and cared for throughout the process, from initial screening to post-donation recovery.
